All Stars receive recognition for extra service to our patients, their families or the hospital staff.

As we follow the guidelines of
the STARS program we:

1. Greet everyone with a smile and a friendly "Hello"
2. Offer to help, don't wait to be asked
3. Whenever possible, escort; don't point
4. Listen attentively
5. Respect the confidentiality of patient health information
6. Nurture our friendships but remember that Volunteers are here to provide service
7. Ask for instructions if we're not sure how to perform a task
8. Respect the dignity of everyone we meet
9. Be team players
10. Remember the Golden Rule.

Five more volunteers will be honored each month. As winners, these All Stars get to park in the reserved Volunteer parking place during the month of selection. And, in the spring, all previous winners will be entered into a drawing for an invitation to attend the Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers (TAHV) convention in Dallas.
